Resident Camp

During the summer months, Girl Scouts Heart of Central California offers resident camp programming at Camp Menzies, a 176-acre property in Calaveras County.  In addition to our traditional resident camp programs we also offer travel, troop and family programs.  Camp Menzies offers programs that are fun and educational. Your camper will learn new skills, enhance her self-esteem, and develop long-lasting values.

Day Camps

Day camps give girls an opportunity to experience camp life and make new friends without having to travel too far from home. Most day camps are run by volunteers through a Service Unit and rely on volunteers like you.  Check the website for a list of the 2012 day camps that will be offered and ways you can volunteer. Registration for day camps opens on March 1; be sure to read each day camp’s flyer for specific registration information.

Short term resident camp

Short term resident camps offer girls an opportunity to experience the fun of staying away from home but for a shorter length of time than at resident camp. This summer, girls in grades 7-12 can attend the Yosemite Camp of Service and Girl Scouts in grades 1-12 can attend Camp Golden Timbers. Golden Timbers Camp relies on fabulous adult volunteers like you; to get involved or for more information about either camp contact the Senior Program Manager Mickey Phillips at mickey.phillips@girlscoutshcc.org.
