W.O.W. 2011
WOW, the Weekend of Workshops, is a great opportunity for Girl Scout adults to share a weekend of fun and laughter while they take workshops that will expand their horizons and provide new ideas for activities to do with girls. Some workshops will be tied to our helping hands theme, creating items to help others. You can come to Fleming Lodge starting Friday afternoon and stay until Sunday afternoon, or you can pick a shorter option. 2011 WOW registration materials are in the links below. Here are just a few of the workshops planned for this year:
Exploding Scrapbook Box, Soda Tab Earrings, Geocaching, Easy Knit Beanies, Dress a Girl (make a dress from a pillow case and donate to a girl in need), Cross Stitch Quilt Blocks (make quilt blocks for a sick child), Hoop Weaving (Make a basket using a hula hoop frame and cut up T-shirts), Bags to Bags (make reusable shopping bags from plastic grocery bags), Electrified Art Glass.
