Application & Interview Procedures
When to Apply:
Immediately! Positions are filled with qualified applicants on a first come, first hired basis.
Complete the application form carefully. Give as much information as possible. Don’t forget to sign & date the application and tell us how you heard about our summer positions. Return the application to HR Department, Girl Scouts Heart of Central California, 6601 Elvas Ave., Sacramento, CA 95819.
Please note: Girl Scouts Heart of Central California will check previous employment and verify references.
Provide the recommendation form to the three people listed on your application paperwork. We suggest that you use a former teacher, camp director, pastor, rabbi, neighbor, or your leader. Do not list relatives, roommate, boy/girl friend, partner, etc. Instruct them to forward the completed recommendations directly to our office. It is helpful and speeds up the process if you give each individual a stamped envelope addressed to our office.
If the position you are applying for requires certification, please include a photocopy with your application. If you do not have certification for the position in which you are applying, please make note on the application that you are willing to obtain it prior to the start of camp season.
Once your application is received and processed, you will be contacted if you are selected for an interview.
