As a supporter of Girl Scouts Heart of Central California (GSHCC) you know that Girl Scouts helps ordinary girls do extraordinary things – it opens doors to new opportunities, teaches essential life skills, creates lasting friendships, and helps girls gain courage, confidence, and character.

What you may not know is how crucial your financial support is to our council.  The Family Partnership Campaign is an annual opportunity for families and volunteers to help GSHCC fulfill our vision of serving every girl everywhere.

Family Partnerships ensure that Girl Scouting is available to all girls and keeps programs and services affordable. All Family Partnership gifts stay within our council and are an investment that will make a difference for  girls today and pave the way for future generations of leaders. 

Here’s how your Family Partnership gift can help:

  • $25 sends one girl to ‘Speak Up! Overnight’ - an evening created to give girls the confidence they need to speak up for themselves and others against bullying and teasing.
  • $60 makes it possible for two new girls to join a troop as part of the Hispanic/Latino Initiative, where Spanish-speaking mothers are volunteering to lead Girl Scout troops and model leadership for their daughters.
  • $100 trains six girls in self-defense and awareness skills, empowering them to protect themselves and keep each other safe.
  • $240 allows eight girls to attend Horse Tails day camp to learn more about horses and experience horseback riding.
  • $600 sends two girls to week-long overnight summer camp at our own Camp Menzies in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
  • $1,000 will help start an Outreach troop after-school program and give girls, who are less fortunate, the opportunity to experience all the benefits of Girl Scouts.
