About Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts Heart of Central California serves nearly 29,000 girls and 10,000 volunteers in 18 counties which include: Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado , Glenn, Mariposa, Merced, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tuolumne, Yolo, and Yuba. Our main council office is located in Rancho Cordova with additional offices located in Stockton, and Modesto.

Our Goals

The council's goals give direction and a sense of unity, while providing a framework for all levels of planning. The goals are established and adopted by the board of directors every four years after a thorough review of both internal and external data.

Board of Directors

Representing our council's rich diversity, our board of directors offers expertise including community relations, law, accounting, medicine, banking, and sales. Their commitment to bringing Girl Scouting to every girl is demonstrated by the financial support they provide personally and through their professional affiliations. Staff

Staff members, under the direction of the chief executive officer, work in partnership to deliver the Girl Scout program to girls and support services to adults. More than 80 full-time and 35 part-time employees are responsible for council operations in membership, outreach, adult development, marketing and communications, shop sales, program, properties, business services, finance, fund development, and human resources.
