Looking for an exciting opportunity to represent girls in your council? Do you have a passion for Girl Scouts and creative ideas for events and programs?
GAB is the place for you!
So, what is GAB?
GAB (Girl Advisory Board) is a youth leadership group composed of Girl Scouts throughout our council in grades 7 to 12. As a part of GAB, you will help ensure that Girl Scout programs are reflective of what today’s girls want and need. GAB members will develop creative ideas as a team while gaining decision-making and presentation skills. No matter how big or small, you have a voice and it should be heard! |

What's the GAB commitment?

Project Unity: This is a girls-only event where Girl Scouts explore the world of sisterhood. It’s a great opportunity for girls to get to know their sister Girl Scouts as they talk about issues affecting girls, learn about the importance of unity among women, and have fun all night long! End-of-the-Year Party: This event gives older girls a place to celebrate all of their hard work and accomplishments. What will GAB members “gab” about?
And here’s something cool: GAB members also make program and event recommendations to the GSHCC staff, board of directors, CEO and director of program. (Think we need more astronomy programs? Want to tour an organic farm? This is your chance to share your opinions!) |

I love it! How do I join GAB?
For more information about joining GAB, please contact Nakeya Bell at Girls can join GAB at any time of the year, but it is recommended that they join as soon as possible, as board seats are limited. |
