Girl Scout Senior Color Guard The Girl Scouts Heart of Central California Color Guard receives 20 or more requests annually to present our nations colors at opening ceremonies throughout our jurisdiction. The color guard opens meetings, sporting events, grand openings, dinners, luncheons, park dedications and parades.

Who is in color guard?
Color guard is an individual commitment and to join you must simply complete a registration form and attend Color Guard Attention training. Click here to search the calendar and find a date and time that work for you!

What do I do in color guard training?
Whether you want to be a member of our council’s Color Guard, or learn more about our flag, this is the event for you. Members of our current Color Guard will show you how to present and retire the colors and honor our country’s flag. Complete some of the requirements for the Wave the Flag Try-It, the United We Stand badge, or the American Patriotism Interest Project.

Tell me more about color guard!
Members receive many recognitions including an exclusive CG retreat, luncheon, and a recognition ceremony all sponsored by the council. Color guard participation patches and year rockers are also given to members who participate in at least five events during a membership year.
