Girls in grades 6-12 are invited to join us on this new equine adventure.
Come together monthly to learn about different horse topics, meet with horse professionals, go on field trips, and learn about horses. No riding or horse experience necessary.

Our regularly scheduled Equine Enthusiasts meetings will take place the third Sunday of the month. Keep an eye out as the locations will change, and other opportunities may pop up with less notice.

Horse Display and Movie Evening -5:00 – 8:00 pm, at the Program Center, 6601 Elvas Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95819, $4 fee to cover food
Continue to help develop displays of our council horses and about our horse programs to be used at our upcoming 100th event and future horse events. Enjoy a demonstration video about horseback riding recommended by our horseback riding director.

Equine Enthusiasts ground lesson and ride at Memorial Arena in Ione, 4:30-6:30 PM -Cost $35
This program will feature a 1 hour ride and a ground lesson with the Girl Scouts Heart of Central California horses and riding staff. The ride will be tailored to the riding level of the participants; girls will receive a patch, snack, horseback riding instruction and a ground lesson. (We will need at least four girls to be able to offer this program, carpools can be arranged)
