Apple Jack

Nickname: AJ

AJ was trained for arena rail classes, and his gaits are incredibly smooth. We can gage how well a rider is communicating with AJ because his face is so expressive. When you are riding with balance and timing he is like watching poetry in motion. His best friend is Sadie.

Sadie

Breed: American Quarter Horse
Color: Brown w/ a star
Sex: mare
Age: 16

Sadie is a sweet patient mare, and is the shortest horse in the string. Sadie’s color is brown in the winter but when she slicks out in the spring her coat gets the most beautiful red highlights. Sadie has had two foals and they both have her wonderful disposition.

Alto

Age: 14

Alto is our tallest horse standing 16 hands at the withers. Her best friend is Sugar. Alto’s color is chestnut and she shines like a new copper penny in the sun. She is a fantastic trail horse and is happy to pack anyone down the road.

Sugar is a classic Quarter Horse mare, with a very refined head and a kind eye. Her confirmation is very typey, and muscular. When she lopes up to greet us, her distinctive flaxen mane and tail stand out.

Baby

Baby looks black, but technically is a dark bay in color having the five black points. Baby also has a Morgan appearance with a heavier crest and a flat croup. Baby loves to be brushed and would stand at the fence all day to be groomed.

Jessy is a petite mare, with very refined confirmation. Her color is unique and not as common as many of the other colors. She is predominately a guide horse; all of the staff enjoy riding her during trail rides.

Montana is a classic ranch horse and a camp favorite. He was raised on the Brennan ranch and is very comfortable riding and roping the range. Both young and old, novice and beginners enjoy taking Montana for a ride.

Nacho grew up on a ranch south of Fresno, and has also lived the cowboy life, carrying many cowgirls across the hills.
