Girl Scout Horse Program Registration

We are currently offering fall, winter and spring horse programs at four different arenas throughout our council jurisdiction and summer programs at Camp Menzies.

Camp Menzies | Hughson | Ione | Jamestown | Rio Linda

 

Camp Menzies

Camp Menzies is located in Calaveras County just east of Big Trees state park.  Horseback is offered as a regular activity during our summer resident camp sessions and for troops during Trailblazers and Troop Camping at Menzies.

Hughson

Hughson is just outside of Ceres, CA about 15 minutes South of Modesto and 1 ½ hours south of Sacramento.  The Casey Family Arena is a covered arena and allows riding programs in all weather.

Ione

Ione is near Jackson, CA, about 50 minutes South East of Sacramento or 1 hour North East of Modesto. The Ed Hughes Memorial Arena in Ione is a covered arena and allows riding programs in all weather.

Jamestown

Jamestown is near Sonora, CA, about 1 hour East of Modesto or 2 hours South East of Sacramento.  Our horse program is offered at the Tuolumne County Sheriffs Posse grounds in Jamestown.

We do not have programs scheduled for this arena yet, please check back in January 2012 for Spring and Summer dates.

 

Rio Linda

Rio Linda is not far from Power Balance Pavilion, about 20 minutes North East of downtown Sacramento or 1 and ½ hours North of Modesto.  The Center Horse Arena in Rio Linda is not covered and can only be used weather-permitting.

We do not have programs scheduled for this arena yet, please check back in January 2012 for Spring and Summer dates.
