Program aides for this event must be available to help with program setup on Friday evening at Fleming Lodge.

Modesto Office Pretty and proper. Your help is needed to host an old-fashioned Sunday Tea. Put on your best clothes or your Girl Scout uniform. Assist with serving regreshments, entertainment and the princess program.

Spring Fest

Sacramento County Enjoy the spring season at this Spring Fair. You, your family and friends will enjoy playing games and winning prizes, making crafts and eating great carnival style food. This event is open to all Girl Scouts and their families and friends. The event fee includes program materials and a participation patch. Use the "SpringFest" registration form available at your March service unit meeting. Online registration is not available for this event. Additional forms may be obtained at the Rancho Cordova or Modesto Offices, or in the Special Events section of our council Web site at www.girlscoutshcc.org under Programs & Events.

Rocks, Rock

Fleming Lodge Come rock out with earth scientists! Help Girl Scout Juniors earn the Rocks, Rock badge while exploring Camp Fleming. Lead stations making fossils and making gemstone rings. Meet and talk with geologists, mineralogists and mining engineers.

Effie Yeaw Nature Center, Carmichael  Help Girl Scout Brownies learn about the Maidu people who lived in Sacramento County as they earn the Listening to the Past Try-It. Activities include a tour of the Nature Center’s replica Maidu Village and view artifacts made by the Maidu people.

Ripon Picnic Time! It's a great day to meet Girl Scouts from all over the council. We will have kite demonstrations, kite flying contests, food, games and more. It's a wonderful event for family and friends. Join us for a day of sunshine and fun activities.

Storybook Series: New Tales

Yolo County Lead Girl Scout Brownies as they decide how the story should go. Station activities include creating a picture book of new tales that give girls more power, playing games and helping girls create their own fairytale.

Roseville They may be small, but a Girl Scout Daisy can make a big difference! Help them test out different service projects they can do to help make the world a better place. Lead stations to make a card, make a gift and make a friendship bracelet.

National Trails Day

Various Locations Help younger Girl Scouts celebrate National Trails Day by doing something good for a local trail.  Service opportunities will be available in various locations throughout the council.  Check with your service unit for flyers in Spring 2009.

Elk Grove Help Girl Scout Juniors experience the rich culture and history of the people of Miao through threads, fabrics and beads that will be on display just for this event. Share basic and decorative stitches that can be used on clothing and accessories. With your help Girl Scout Juniors will discover basic information about sewing and complete two sewing projects.
