In aMAZE, all the world’s your stage. Since the Girl Scout Movement was founded in 1912, Girl Scouts have used songs to celebrate friendship and the spirit of sisterhood. So, what better way to commemorate 100 years of Girl Scouting than through music and dance? Remember, this is a party!

The world* of aMAZE features a variety of creative games, dance workshops and live entertainment for Girl Scouts of all ages:

Boogie at the Exploration Stage:

Have fun watching and then doing fabulous dances of all kinds—cultural, modern and contemporary. Want to know the history behind some amazing steps? Learn fun facts while being a part of a high-energy cheer, hip-hop, jazz or country line-dancing routine.

Play games and sing at the Interactive Stage:

Win prizes and cheer on your friends as you tackle an obstacle course, play carnival-style games and raise your voice along with a huge crowd of Girl Scouts in the ultimate 100th Sing-Along.

Share your musical talents:

Experience the rush of performing on stage by auditioning in advance to be one of the fifteen future stars singing, playing an instrument and/or dancing in the I Love Music Showcase. (Girls ages 5-17 can apply. Deadline is January 6, 2012.)

Bring plenty of pennies:

When lots of girls do something small on their own, the collective effect is huge! Drop your copper off at the One in a Million Penny Drive. Funds will go to the Girl Scouts Heart of Central California Outreach Program, which brings the joys of Girl Scouting to underserved areas.

*Seven “worlds” at the Girl Scouts 100th: Celebrating Green Forever event on April 28, 2012: GIRLtopia (science, activism), aMAZE (music, dance), CSA Ultra Lounge (Just for Cadettes, Seniors & Ambassadors: entertainment, teen topics), A World of Girls (international games, songs, food), MEdia (self-expression, TV, art, theatre), Between Earth and Sky (nature, agriculture), and Get Moving (energy, health, environment).
