Pins may be given to adults/purchased by adults who have been members for at least 5 years (total of years as a girl member and years as an adult member). Individually registered, as well as troop affiliated adults are eligible.
The council makes a special presentation at the council’s annual meeting in February to “long term” members (starting at 20 years) to acknowledge their dedication and service.
Board Approved Recognitions consist of the Appreciation Pin, Honor Pin, Thanks Badge and Thanks Badge II. These recognitions require approval by the council’s board of directors and are considered the highest awards given to adults in Girl Scouting. These awards recognize service that is extraordinary, goes above and beyond the expectations of the position(s) held, and benefits a wide audience. The deadline for nominations is Monday October 1st at 5 p.m. Nominations will be reviewed by the council board of directors and those approved will be presented with the award at the council Annual Meeting in February 2019.
Nomination decisions are based solely upon the information provided in the Online Nomination Form and accompanying Endorsement Forms.
