Adult supervision is required; the Sacramento Zoo requires that 1 adult per every 6 children (ages 5-17)  be present for this event. Per GS Safety Activities Checkpoints, please provide 2 adults if attending with 6 or fewer girls. We ask that no more than the required number of adults register for the event in order to ensure that we have enough spots for all interested girls. Chaperones are responsible for supervising the children and enforcing the Zoo rules at all times while on Zoo grounds (refer to Zoo Behavior Rules and What to Bring/Do Not Bring pages attached to your activity registration in MyGS). At no time may a child be unsupervised while in the Zoo.

All adults must be a registered Girl Scout with a cleared criminal background check. This event is open to registered Girl Scouts only. Non-registered adults, siblings and pets cannot attend.

Please do not contact the zoo directly. The GSHCC customer care team is happy to assist you with any questions.

In accordance with Safety Activity Checkpoints, one family unit may sleep in the same sleeping quarters in program areas. Male volunteers may not sleep in the same space as girls, if sleeping outside of the family unit. The Sacramento Zoo will be providing a separate sleeping space and male only bathrooms.

We are looking for 3-4 event participants who are troop camp certified to help provide additional support to other troops attending the event. Please indicate any special certifications held by you, or members of your volunteer team when registering for the event. Registration will close when full or on May 3, at 5:00 p.m.
