Come kayaking with Headwaters Boathouse! If you’ve never been
kayaking, or have only been a few times, this event is perfect for
you. Participate in a quick on-land instructions course, where you
learn the fundamentals of kayaking, before getting out on the water to
have fun. Senior Girl Scouts - earn Steps 1-4 of the Senior Paddling
Badge! This event is open to adults and girls; adult’s supervision is
required and supervising adults must register for this event. When you
click ‘register’ you will be directed to a 3rd party site to complete
registration and receive all further communications from Headwaters
directly, GSHCC staff will not be present at event. Please click the

Program Fee Includes: In person kayaking
instruction, all required kayaking equipment, and a space for Girl
Scouts to make new friends. NOTE: Senior Paddling Badge is NOT
included in event fee, but can be purchased at the GSHCC Shop.

Registration: A minimum of 8
registered participants are required to hold this event. In the event
that the minimum is not met, you will be notified before the event
date, and a full refund will be processed.

Adult
Supervision: Adult supervision is required for this event,
and adults must register to attend. If registering as a troop GSHCC
requires that you follow the ratios below for your troop level. Per GS
Safety Activities Checkpoints, please provide 2 adults if attending
with 6 or fewer girls. We ask that no more than the required number of
adults attend the event. Adult chaperones are responsible for
supervising girls and enforcing the HW and GSHCC rules at all times
while on HW property. At no time may girls be unsupervised while on
the trip.
