Sierra Creek Service Unit #137 Training Day! This event is for members of Sierra Creek, Roseville, Service Unit #137.

Important Notice: This event is open to registered participants from the Roseville Service Unit #137 only. On September 29 if spots are still available, Girl Scouts outside of this Service Unit may register for the event.

Badge Connections: During Prepare 2B Ready, girls will complete the prerequisite for putting on an event as needed for Highest Award project events including the two Rose Award events as well as meeting the requirements for the VIT pin for Seniors and Ambassadors. Adults will learn the steps and forms needed for facilitating a Girl Scout event. Program Aide training is the first step toward earning your Program Aide Pin and LiA badge as a Cadette. You can build on this training to earn your VIT pin at the Senior and Ambassador levels.

Program facilitated by: GSHCC Staff or Volunteer Trainer

This Training Day includes your choice of two out of the following three courses:

  • Hybrid Level 1 First Aide/CPR - In Person portion: One hour session to complete the in-person portion after completing the online course. Once you register you will receive an email with instructions to complete the online portion of your training. Please bring your certificate of completion with you on the day of the training. Your one hour timeslot will be assigned after registration closes and based on whether you registered for one of the other two training topics.
  • Program Aide (PA) training: 3 hour training designed for older Girl Scouts, to learn how to lead younger Girl Scouts at events. 12:00 PM 3:00 PM.
  • Prepare 2B Ready (P2BR): 2.5 hour training designed for Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts, and Troop Leaders, to prepare for success in event planning and risk management for Girl Scout events. 8:30 AM 11:00AM

Due to time Constraints, you may register for up to two (2) trainings.

Program Fees:

  • Facility use fee per registered participant is $10
  • First Aide/CPR: $42 per Girl and Adult Member
  • Prepare 2B Ready: $5 per Girl Member and Adult Member
  • Program Aide Training: $8 per Girl Member
  • Optional: Lunch is a separate registration through the Service Unit Team - To pre-order your lunch, you will find the link in the information letter. Otherwise, sack lunches are welcome as long as they are nut-free.

Program includes: In-person instruction, all needed materials and a space for Girl Scouts to learn new skills. Training bars and certificates of completion are included.

Note: Registration will close when capacity is reached, or on September 30, 2023, whichever comes first. Final confirmations with your First Aid/CPR timeslot will be emailed after October 24, 2023.

Information Letter: Once you have registered you can find the information letter by logging in to your My Account, go to My Events and select the event. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the information letter under Additional Documentation. An email will be sent out 1 week before the scheduled event with the information letter for the event. If you register after this time, you will need to go through your My Account to get the information letter or reach out to customer care.

Troop Treasure: After registering, please follow the instructions on this form to pay with Troop Treasure.

Financial Aid: Financial assistance is available to girls/adults that have current memberships with Girl Scouts Heart of Central California. Payee must submit the Financial Aid Request form after registering to finalize your request. You may still be responsible for a portion of the fees. 

Cancellations:

  • If the activity requires a deposit, deposits are non-refundable.
  • Refunds will not be given for in person activities or training fees of $5 and less.
  • All other activities will be processed as follows:
  • 21 calendar days before the activity 100%
  • 12-20 calendar days before the activity 50%
  • 11 or fewer calendar days before the activity No refunds

Once in a while, GSHCC may have to cancel an event. In the event that Girl Scouts Heart of Central California finds it necessary to cancel an activity or training, all troops/groups or individuals having submitted registrations and payments will receive a full refund.

Note: In the event of extenuating circumstances such as illnesses, deaths in the immediate family and other catastrophic events, GSHCC will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis.
