As girls navigate through these uncertain times, Girl Scouts can give them a way to maintain wellness and social interaction, and be a part of a program that has lifelong benefits. While many programs and sports are postponed during these times, Girl Scouts remains open and ready to work with girls.

The Zoom Where it Happens

Come join us for First Friday--the Zoom Where it Happens, we’ll have an hour together to wind down from the week and relax. We’ll spend time playing trivia games, talking about our days, cooking activities, STEM, and so much more . Girls can attend First Fridays on a regular or occasional basis.

Candy Corn Engineering with Extreme STEAM Science Kids

Test your engineering skills using CANDY! Join Girl Scouts and Extreme STEAM Science Kids in this family event as we dive into the design process and complete a fun challenge. In this Halloween themed activity, girls and their siblings will be able to build with their hands while working towards meeting an objective. Some of the materials will be able to be eaten, YUM! Watch a live demonstration of the 3D Virtual Robotic Simulator offered by ESSK that will give you some insight into one of the amazing Girl Scouts programs being offered!

This FREE event is Prek-6th grade focused but all grades are welcome. Girls ages 6-13, stay tuned -- we will be raffling off a free robotics course to nonmembers.

What is Girl Scouts?

Girl Scouts isn’t just a moment in her life, it’s a movement dedicated to building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

Why do families love us?

Girl Scouts is a way of life that brings out the best in your girl, even in the most challenging of times. While she’s learning about STEM, the outdoors, entrepreneurship, and important life skills, she’s discovering new ways to make your family and community stronger, kinder, and better for everyone.

How does it work?

Girls can be a part of Girl Scouts in many ways.

·       Joining a troop: Groups of Girl Scouts, called troops, typically meet         weekly, biweekly, or monthly for an hour or two. Guided by adult         volunteers—often parents and caregivers—girls select exciting         hands-on activities and projects, try new things, and cheer each         other on. Together, they earn badges to reflect their successes and         show the world what they’re made of.

·       Joining a council-led troop: Girl Scouts are led by council staff         through the same experiences that they would get through their         local troops. For now, council-led troops are held virtually and         meet once a month.

·       Her own path: Girls can also participate in Girl Scouts on her own         (not joining a troop) through virtual experiences, “badge in a box”         programs delivered to your door, and so much more.  

What is the goal?

Making sure girls see and have opportunities to reach their potential isn’t just about helping them earn better grades, make better decisions, and lead happier lives (though it helps with those things too!). It’s about creating a more fair, equal, and compassionate world where every girl has a seat at the table and can make her dreams come true. Check out our values in the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
