Welcome to the official Web site of Girl Scouts Heart of Central California, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in Sacramento, CA. Our online properties are comprised of, but not limited to, all pages found under girlscoutshcc.org. These terms and conditions apply to these sites and other sites, and mobile apps or other online services we operate that link to these terms (collectively, referred to below as the site).
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING ANY OF GIRL SCOUTS HEART OF CENTRAL CALIFORNIA WEB SITES. By using the pages on this site, you signify your agreement to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms of use, please do not use the site. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these terms at any time. Please check these terms periodically for changes. Your continued use of the site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes.
OWNERSHIP AND RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF MATERIALS
Unless otherwise noted, all materials, including images, illustrations, designs, icons, photographs, video clips, and written and other materials contained on the site (collectively, the "Contents") are protected by copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, and/or other intellectual properties owned, controlled, or licensed by Girl Scouts Heart of Central California or Girl Scouts of the USA, respectively.
The Contents of the site are intended solely for personal, noncommercial (other than for the purchase of merchandise from our site) use by the users of our site. You may view, copy, and print the Contents displayed on this site subject to the following conditions:

Certain features of the site provide you with the option of setting up an account for which you will receive a user ID and password. User IDs and passwords are confidential and proprietary. It is a violation of these Terms and Conditions for you to: (a) provide any false personal information on the site, or create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission, (b) create another account without our permission if we disable your account, or (c) do anything else that might jeopardize the security of your account. COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARK INFORMATION
Girl Scouts of the USA has the sole and exclusive right by virtue of its Congressional Charter, 36 U.S.C. § 80301 et. seq., to have and use all service marks, trademarks, emblems, badges, descriptive or designating marks, and other words now or heretofore used in carrying out its program and is the owner of the GIRL SCOUTS name, service mark, and trademark, and of all other associated names, marks, slogans, insignias, logotypes and designs, including but not limited to the distinctive TREFOIL design mark, the GSUSA uniforms and other indicia, the names and marks "Girl Scouts of the United States of America," "Girl Scout Daisies," "Girl Scout Brownies," "Girl Scout Juniors," "Girl Scout Cadettes," "Girl Scout Seniors," and "Girl Scout Ambassadors," and such trademarks and service marks as WHERE GIRLS GROW STRONG, FOR EVERY GIRL EVERYWHERE, GIRLSPORTS, and GIRL SCOUT COOKIES (hereinafter collectively identified as the "Intellectual Property"). Girl Scouts Heart of Central California has been granted permission by Girl Scouts of the USA to use, reproduce and distribute the Intellectual Property solely in connection with Girl Scouting.
All other trademarks displayed on this site or through links to other sites are the property of the respective trademark owners.
CLAIMS REGARDING COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENTS
Pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), Girl Scouts Heart of Central California has implemented procedures for receiving written notification of claimed copyright infringement. We also have designated an agent to receive notices of claimed copyright infringement. If you believe in good faith that your copyright has been infringed, you may submit a notice to customercare@girlscoutshcc.org. To be effective, a notice must be a written communication provided to Girl Scouts Heart of Central California and must contain:
1. An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest;
2. A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
3. A description specifying the location of the material that you claim is infringing;
4. Your telephone number and e-mail address;

6. A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
The official Girl Scouts Heart of Central California social media pages are for Girl Scout members, alum, volunteers, parents, and supporters of Girl Scouts. GSHCC welcomes interaction, discussion, commentary, questions, and even criticism, but we ask that you keep your comments and posts relevant and respectful. Girl Scouts Heart of Central California may remove any post or ban anyone who violates these guidelines. In particular, personal attacks, inappropriate language, spamming, and excessive posting will not be tolerated. Girl Scouts Heart of Central California reserves the right to remove posts advertising commercial products, as well as those that violate a social media platform’s terms of service, or are inaccurate or otherwise objectionable.
Posts about individuals, other companies, not-for-profits, and products are not equal to endorsements. Comments and views expressed during live streams are not equal to endorsements.
Girl Scouts Heart of Central California is a non-partisan, non-political, organization.
Group Guidelines
- Be Kind and Courteous. We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect and live by the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
- Keep it Girl Scout focused. Conversations should be Girl Scout-centered. Debating, insulting, or similar conversations regarding other youth activities may be removed.
- No Hate Speech or Bullying. Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity will not be tolerated.
- No Promotions or Spam. Give more than you take to this group. Self-promotion, spam, and irrelevant links aren't allowed. These posts will be removed.
