Other Ways to Give

Gifts of Appreciated Assets toggle arrow

You can donate your appreciated stocks, bonds, mutual funds and securities as your gift. Please email development@girlscoutshcc.org or call 800.322.4475 for transfer instructions.

Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) toggle arrow

You want your charitable gift to be as effective as possible. Donor-advised funds are one of the easiest and most tax-advantageous ways to give.

IRA Charitable Rollover toggle arrow

If you are age 70 ½ or older you can make a gift of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your IRA. To qualify for a tax-free IRA Charitable Rollover, your gift must be made before year-end and your IRA administrator must initiate the gift and send it directly to Girl Scouts Heart of Central California. You can give more than your RMD – up to $100,000 annually. This rule also applies to your spouse’s IRA, as long as it is a separate account.

Tribute Gifts toggle arrow

Make a tribute gift in honor of or in memory of a loved one, and your thoughtful gift will benefit Girl Scout programs. Your loved one will be notified of the generous gift made in their name as an honorarium. In the case of memorials, we will notify the family members that a gift (of an undisclosed amount) has been made in memory of their loved one.
