Program Partners and Approved Vendors

Girl Scouts partners with organizations across our council to offer many fun and engaging Girl Scout activities! Check out our list of partners who run unique programs tailored to the STEM, Entrepreneurship, Life Skills and Outdoor pillars, as well as volunteer opportunities. When using our Program Partners list you’ll find details about the activities and badge programs available, then you can contact the partner directly.

Looking to run a Service Unit or Troop Event? Elevate it by adding an expert session or training through one of GSHCC’s Approved Vendors. Simply contact the organization you would like for your event and discuss your options (opportunities may vary).

**Please note: Parent/guardians/troop leaders are responsible for compliance of Safety Activity Checkpoints field trip requirements.

What are Approved Vendors? toggle arrow

Approved Vendors are high adventure/high risk organizations vetted by Girl Scouts Heart of California. They provide quality Girl Scout experiences, meet the requirements of the Safety Activity Checkpoints (SAC) and hold a Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI) for Girl Scout members. The council must authorize, or approve, vendors offering activities that are considered high adventure/high risk BEFORE a troop uses the site or vendor for a troop, service unit or council event. To submit an Approved Vendor Request form or learn more about what is considered high risk, please click here. If a partner is listed, but not as an Approved Vendor, that means they are a vetted partner, but are not high risk so they do not need to hold a COI.

Can I host Program Partner events at private residences? toggle arrow

GSHCC does not recommend Girl Scout members hold Program Partner events in private residences. If a troop leader decides to schedule a partner event in their private residence, they are assuming liability under their personal insurance. Homeowners should consider any personal insurance implications, and should ask their personal homeowner’s insurance carrier if there are any insurance concerns with troop meetings in the home.
