Girl Scouts Heart of Central California works with many corporate, foundation, and community partners to provide programming and expand opportunities for local Girl Scouts. Our partners provide critical funding, volunteering, and in-kind goods and services to support the four program pillars (STEM, Outdoors, Entrepreneurship, and Life Skills) that make up the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

Partnerships In Action
SMUD–Afterschool Programs
Support from SMUD brings Girl Scout programming to 27 Title 1 schools located in Sacramento County’s under-resourced neighborhoods as part of their afterschool programs. Program curriculum emphasizes social and emotional learning, mental health, sustainability, and leadership development.
Teichert Foundation–Under Construction
Teichert Foundation funds our Under Construction Program, where girls gain confidence by using real tools and explore engineering principles by completing facility improvement projects at Camp Menzies. Last summer, girls designed and built a deck.
US Bank–Counselor in Training
US Bank supports our Counselor in Training program at Camp Menzies, which helps girls ages 15-18 develop critical, transferable job skills and prepares them to become future workforce leaders. US Bank’s support also helps us offer camp scholarships to Counselors in Training from low-income households.
