Rewards

Who doesn’t love a little recognition for their hard work?

Even though we know participating in the Girl Scout Cookie Program will teach girls valuable life skills (5 to be precise), there's one other reason the girls really love participating: rewards! Troops can earn proceeds and Troop Treasure. Girl Scouts can earn individual rewards, including the Early Reward, patches and experiences.

Types of Rewards

Troop Rewards
Early Reward Opportunity 
  • Every girl with an Initial Order of 180+ packages submitted by January 24, 2021 will earn a Be Amazing themed t-shirt.
  • Girls in troops choosing Older Girl Proceeds are also eligible for the Early Reward.
  • Shirts will be sent to service unit cookie teams for distribution and will not be picked up at the Mega Drops.
Proceeds

Troop Proceeds
- Available for all troops
- Troop earns $0.90 per package sold
- Girls can earn patches, experiences and reward items
- Troops can earn Troop Treasure
- Troops must complete the following recognition orders in Smart Cookies: Early, Main and Troop Recognition Order

Older Girl Proceeds
- Available only to troops with all members registered as Cadettes, Seniors and/or Ambassadors 
Girls must unanimously choose this option and troop will need to change their proceeds plan in Smart Cookies by Monday, January 25
- Multi-level troops with registered Daisy, Brownie and Junior members do not qualify
- Troop earns $1.00 per package sold
- Girls earn patches only
- Troops can earn Troop Treasure
- Troops must complete the following recognition orders in Smart Cookies: Early, Main and Troop Recognition Order

In addition to incentive items for girls and troop proceeds, GSHCC offers Troop Treasure, a reward opportunity allowing girls to help support their Girl Scout experience. 

How can my troop earn Troop Treasure?
Troops can earn Troop Treasure based on their per girl average (PGA) for girls selling. Troops can view their troop’s PGA on their Smart Cookies dashboard and in the Troop Recognition Order. Troop Treasure will be awarded based on each troop’s PGA and the number of girls selling.

Reward Experiences

Please note for all experiences:

  • Girl Scouts must be Cadettes 11 years or older at the time of out of state travel due to GSUSA and Safety Activity Checkpoint guidelines.
  • Girls must be present at their chosen event in order to receive any special patches and swag items that may be given out at an event
  • Due to IRS guidelines, we are unable to provide tickets to events. Please plan accordingly and select the option that works for your Girl Scout. No make-up dates are available.
  • All reward experiences are girl-only unless otherwise noted with a star on the Reward Card. Cookie reward experiences will be held on the published dates, please plan accordingly. Due to IRS guidelines, girls cannot be given a ticket to an event and must be present to receive swag items.
  • In order to provide the best experience possible and to ensure girl safety, we are unable to make special accommodations for girl-only experiences. Parents wishing to attend experiences should select the “or” option denoted with a star at each level. Each experience level has a girl-only option and a chaperoned experience option.
