Fun fact! Camp Menzies only operates in the summer because it gets covered in snow in the winter. There is a lot that needs to happen before campers can return and once campers have come and gone for the season.
Camp gives so many memories to Girl Scouts, troops, and families who visit, and these weekends are all about giving back to camp and showing our love to Camp Menzies. After all, a Girl Scout always leaves a place better than they found it, right? Whether you are a first-time camper or have been coming to Camp Menzies for years (it is nearly 80 years old). Join us for this unique experience in helping our maintenance crew to build new structures and improve existing items around camp.
Great for girls who are hesitant about our Under Construction program and want to get a similar experience before jumping in. Be prepared to bring a Take Action project to leave your mark at Camp Menzies and cap off your Journey awards! You'll also help craft our hiking trails and clean up camp. It's not all hard work, enjoy camp activities like target sports, arts & crafts, campfire, songs, skits, and games too. All meals, lodging, supplies, staff-led activities, camp t-shirt, and a fun patch are provided.
Troops and families can register to sleep in a tent or a shared
cabin (space limited). Cabins are a group living accommodation with up
to 12 people per cabin.
