To be eligible to earn the Rose Award girls must be in grades 9
through 12.

GSHCC Rose Award
This award was created by Girl Scout Seniors in our council with the intent to recognize and promote leadership and learning in several different areas including, but not limited to: values and ethics, service to others, career exploration and independent living skills. Completing the requirements for the Rose Award may take 12-24 months, so advance planning is necessary. Please review the Rose Award Application Packet for a more in-depth overview of the Rose Award.
The deadline for girls bridging to adult to submit their Rose Award is September 30, of the year they graduated high school.
To be recognized at the Girls Who Inspire Ceremony you must have your Rose Award submitted by March 1 of the year you want to be recognized.
Steps to Earn the Rose Award


Girls are required to complete
activities that fall under the following categories: service,
out-of-doors, independent living skills, creative arts, well-being,
international friendships, promise and law, career exploration, and
adult roles in Girl Scouting. Remember this is expected to be
completed over the course of one to two years.

Obtain three letters of character
endorsements. These letters should come from adult mentors who know
you well and can positively express your character. Examples can
include: troop leaders, teachers, club leaders, and coaches.

Submit a final report along with your three letters no later than
September 30 after graduating high school.
