This in person instruction class is for girls ages 10-15, and covers
the basics of starting and running your own babysitting business,
safety practices for caring for different age levels, safety when
answering the phone or door, and basic first aid skills for infants
and children. You'll learn how to handle emergencies, how to feed
infants and what to do if they are choking, first aid for cuts and
poison, as well as strategies for setting rules, discipline, and
having fun and playing games with different age levels. Badge is
included.
Program facilitated by: This
class is a partnership with Kim Stockdale, group instructor with
Dynamic Mobile Fitness and Save A Life CPR Training Center, accredited
by the American Safety Health Institute. GSHCC staff may not be
present.
Program Fee: $37 for girl
members, $52 for girl non-members
Program Fee Includes: In-person instruction, and a
space for Girl Scouts to make new friends. At the end of this class,
girls will receive a Babysitting certification card and the Cadette
Babysitter badge, as the class fulfills all requirements.

Registration: A minimum of 10 registered participants
are required to hold this event. If the minimum is not met, you will

Adult Supervision: Adults
must stay in the room to supervise their girls, supervision will not
be provided by the program staff.

Information Letter: Once you have registered
you can find the information letter by logging in to your My Account,
go to My Events and select the event. Scroll to the bottom of the page
to find the information letter under Additional Documentation. An
e-mail will be sent out 1 week before the scheduled event with the
information letter for the event. If you register after this time, you
will need to go through your My Account to get the information letter
or reach out to customer care.

Cancellations
Once in a while, GSHCC may have to cancel an event. If Girl Scouts
Heart of Central California finds it necessary to cancel an activity
or training, all troops/groups or individuals having submitted
registrations and payments will receive a full refund.
Note: In the event of extenuating circumstances such
as illnesses, deaths in the immediate family, and other catastrophic
events, GSHCC will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis.
All
refund requests should be submitted in writing to Customer Care.
