Join us for the Girl Scout Capitol Bridging Ceremony, an unforgettable celebration for Girl Scouts of all ages! Walk across the iconic Tower Bridge as you bridge to the next level and cheer on fellow Girl Scouts. After the ceremony, enjoy Girl Scout activities inside and outside the Sacramento History Museum, and explore exciting opportunities for your next Girl Scout adventure. Girl Scouts receive free admission to the museum, with discounted rates for adults and spectators. Remember, you can Bridge more than once, so sign up and join this epic, Council-wide celebration even if you have Bridged already with your troop or Service Unit. Don't miss out on this fun-filled day of celebration and exploration!

This is a one-day event suitable for Girl Scouts of all bridging ages. The purpose of this event is to provide Girl Scouts and their troop leaders a safe and supportive environment to celebrate and reflect on this past year, as well as, prepare for the fun and exciting opportunities available as you grow in Girl Scouts.

Important Notice: 

  • Read through Adult Supervision section below and note spots are limited for this event. Your spot will not be reserved until a payment is made. This includes participants registering with Financial Aid or Troop Treasure.
  • Adults, siblings and friends attending as observers can attend the event for FREE and do not need to register.
  • Troops and families will be responsible for parking and ratio requirements listed in Safety Activity Checkpoints at this event.
  • Event arrival times may vary depending on age. Please review your info letter before the event.

Registration: Registration opens on January 15, 2025 and closes June 10, 2025. You must select one of the 6 Bridging Age Levels at check out to complete registraiton.

Badge Connection: This event will meet the requirement for troops to earn the Bridge to ... Award. This award will not be distributed at the event, but is available for purchase at your local Girl Scout Shop.

Program facilitated by: GSHCC Staff and Volunteers

Program Fee: $28 for girl members, $0 for adult members participating in the event. (spectators do NOT need to register)

Program Fee Includes: facility fees, a fun patch and pin, access to the activities following the ceremony, and free admission to the Sacrameno History Museum for Girl Scouts and discounted admission for Troop Leaders and Spectators. The event is divided into six sections, each one is specific to the bridging ages. 

Supplies Needed: 

  • Refillable Water Bottle
  • Comfortable walking shoes and clothes
  • Girl Scout Vest (We recommend troop leaders bringing their new vest that Girl Scouts can change into after the ceremony).
  • A snack (food will not be provided.)

Adult Supervision: Adult Supervision is required.

  • Each troop must be accompanied by an adult or troop leader who is First Aid/CPR certified and background checked while waiting to walk the bridge.
  • Supervision of girls is the responsibility of the adults attending with them.
  • All participating adults who will be crossing the Bridge with ther girls must register for the event.
  • Spectators of any age do NOT need to register.
  • Please register with your Girl Scouts in the same bridging level. If adult spots are not available, please contact Customer Care.
  • Please limit adults to the listed ratios outlined in Safety Activity Checkpoints for the ceremony.
  • Parents/Guardians attending as observers do NOT need to register. Please drop off your Girl Scout with the troop leader before the event then pick them up after they cross the bridge.

General Location: West Sacramento, CA

  • Exact address can be found in your MYGS after registering for the event, and will also be included in the information letter.

Note: This event takes place in an outdoor setting.

Media Release Disclaimer: There may be photos or video taken during this event. By registering for this event, you give permission for GSHCC and GSHCC program partners to use photos/videos of your girl to promote Girl Scouts. If you would like to opt out of photographs/videos, please notify staff at event check-in.

Information Letter: Once you have registered you can find the information letter by logging in to your My Account, go to My Events and select the event. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the information letter under Additional Documentation. An e-mail will be sent out 1 week before the scheduled event with the information letter for the event. If you register after this time, you will need to go through your My Account to get the information letter or reach out to customer care.

Troop Treasure: After registering, please follow the instructions on this form to pay with Troop Treasure.

Financial Aid: Financial assistance is available for girls. Payee must submit the Financial Aid Request form after registering to finalize your request. You may still be responsible for a portion of the fees. 

Cancellations

  • If the activity requires a deposit, deposits are non-refundable.
  • Refunds will not be given for in-person activities or training fees of $5 and less.
  • All other activities will be processed as follows:
    • 21 calendar days before the activity - 100%
    • 12-20 calendar days before the activity - 50%
    • 11 or fewer calendar days before the activity - No refunds

Once in a while, GSHCC may have to cancel an event. If Girl Scouts Heart of Central California finds it necessary to cancel an activity or training, all troops/groups or individuals having submitted registrations and payments will receive a full refund.
Note: In the event of extenuating circumstances such as illnesses, deaths in the immediate family, and other catastrophic events, GSHCC will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis.
All refund requests should be submitted in writing to Customer Care.
