Step into the magic at Camp Menzies for an unforgettable adventure in The Wizarding World of Scouting! Girl Scouts are invited to gather their courage, curiosity, and creativity for a spellbinding weekend filled with potion making, canoeing across enchanted waters, testing their aim in archery, and competing in an exciting wizard tournament. Girl Scouts will be magically sorted, sharpen their outdoor skills, build teamwork, and unlock their inner magic through hands-on activities, themed challenges, and campfire fun. Whether you're crafting mystical brews, paddling toward hidden treasures, or earning glory in friendly competition, this immersive experience promises adventure, leadership, and memories that will last a lifetime. Troop Leaders & Parents: We have the max number of volunteers at this time and only girl scouts can register that can handle not having a known adult present.

  • Please note that Troop members will not all be assigned to the same cabin or location. Girl Scouts will be grouped with members from other troops to encourage adventure, build sisterhood, and provide opportunities to meet and connect with fellow Girl Scouts from across the area.
  • Attending Girl Scouts must have been registered in the 2025-2026 year.
  • Daisies and Brownies must be comfortable sleeping overnights without parents in order to have a successful camping experience.

Program Fee: $200 for girl/adult members

Program Fee Includes: In-person instruction, meals, lodging, activity supplies and facilitators, and a space for Girl Scouts to make new friends. 

Supplies Needed: 

  • Full packing list will be available in your MYGS closer to the event date.

Adult Supervision: Adult Supervision is required. (We have the max number of volunteers at this time and only girl scouts can register that can handle not having a known adult present.)

  • Attending adults must register for the event.
  • A troop leader must be registered with a troop that includes Daisies, Brownies, and/or Juniors. One leader per troop only. 
  • This event is hosted and run by SU 152, Troop 1896 and GSHCC staff will only be present to support activities. 

General Location: Camp Connell, CA

  • Exact address can be found in your MYGS after registering for the event, and will also be included in the information letter.

Note: This event takes place in an outdoor setting.

Essential Eligibility Criteria: GSHCC programs provide an inclusive environment to all girls. Please reference our general Essential Eligibility Criteria for details about classroom and outdoor-focused activities that will help you identify the skills needed to participate in programs successfully. This activity has additional Essential Eligibility Criteria, including: Each participant must be able to: Access and exit GSHCC's venue locations independently or with the assistance of a companion. Ease of access and exit might be impacted by weather changes. Adapt to venue terrain changes brought on by inclement weather and changing light conditions. This may include rain, snow, ice, cold, tree cover, etc. Meet the physical demands of the activity within the time limits set for the activity. Independently, or with the assistance of a companion, understand and follow directions and instructions given by others to avoid hazards and/or manage risks. This includes following emergency procedures. Withstand environmental factors associated with the course (i.e., temperatures below freezing during winter activities, temperatures above 80°F or hotter during summer activities, or variable water temperatures during paddling activities). Please contact customer care if you are unsure whether or not you meet the criteria, or if you need a reasonable accommodation.

Media Release Disclaimer: There may be photos or video taken during this event. By registering for this event, you give permission for GSHCC and GSHCC program partners to use photos/videos of your girl to promote Girl Scouts. If you would like to opt out of photographs/videos, please notify staff at event check-in.

Information Letter: Once you have registered you can find the information letter at least 2 weeks before the event date, by logging in to your My Account, go to My Events and select the event. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the information letter under Additional Documentation. An email will be sent out 1 week before the scheduled event with the information letter for the event. If you register after this time, you will need to go through your My Account to get the information letter or reach out to customer care.

Troop Treasure: After registering, please follow the instructions on this form to request to pay with Troop Treasure.

Financial Aid: Financial assistance is available to girls/adults that have current memberships with Girl Scouts Heart of Central California. Payee must submit the Financial Aid Request form after registering to finalize your request. Requests must be submitted at least 4 weeks before the event date. You may still be responsible for a portion of the fees.

Camp Cancellation Policy: 

  • Camps require a deposit upon registration; these deposits are non-refundable. 
  • If cancellation notification is given to GSHCC customer care team more than 4 weeks (28 calendar days) in advance of camp starting, then a full refund will be issued, minus the deposit. 
  • If cancellation notification is given to the customer care team less than 4 weeks (28 calendar days) in advance of camp starting, then no refund will be issued, unless it qualifies as an extenuating circumstance. 
  • In the event of extenuating circumstances such as illnesses, deaths in the immediate family, and other catastrophic events, GSHCC will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the GSHCC customer care.
  • In the event that the council finds it necessary to cancel an activity or training, all troops/groups or individuals having submitted registrations and payments will receive a full refund.
