Step into a world of outdoor fun designed just for Girl Scouts and their special someone! Explore nature, play games, participate in target sports and make magical memories together around the campfire. Register for the additional free track, tailored to spark curiosity for Juniors and Cadettes. Or register both adult and Senior/Ambassador for a hybrid First AID CPR training. No matter what you want to do it's bound to be a fun weekend together!

Badge Connections: During this program girls will complete the following Badge steps:

  • Junior Art and Design Badge - All Steps 
  • Cadette Screenwriter Badge - Steps 1-4
  • Senior First Aid Badge - All Steps 
  • Ambassador First Aid Badge - All Steps 

Program facilitated by: GSHCC staff & GSHCC Volunteers.

Program Fee: $110 for girl/adult members.

Program Fee Includes: In-person instruction, program supplies, meals including dinner Friday thru breakfast Sunday, staff certified in CPR & First Aid and a space for Girl Scouts to make new friends. Badges are not included. Badges can be purchased separately from the Girl Scout Shop.

Supplies Needed: A full packing list will be provided in the Information Letter.

Event Disclaimer: Adults, Seniors & Ambassadors - register for our First Aid CPR Training also occurring this weekend at Camp Fleming! We encourage you to only sign up if you can sign up together! 

  • All male attendees will be asked to sleep outdoors in a tent with their Girl Scout.
  • This event is intended to be an outdoor bonding experience between girls and their chosen adults, be prepared to participate alongside your Girl Scout for an incredible weekend!

General Location: Somerset, CA

  • Exact address can be found in your MYGS after registering for the event, and will also be included in the information letter.

Note: This event takes place in an outdoor and an indoor setting.

Adult Supervision: Adult supervision is required.

  • Attending adults must register for the event.
  • If you're dropping your girl off with another adult, the authorized person at pick up will be required to show their ID.

Essential Eligibility Criteria: GSHCC programs provide an inclusive environment to all girls. Please reference our general Essential Eligibility Criteria for details about classroom and outdoor-focused activities that will help you identify the skills needed to participate in programs successfully. This activity has additional Essential Eligibility Criteria, including: Camp EEC is relevant to all camp based programs. If you are attending any of these programs, read the criteria below in addition to the Universal EEC and the Outdoor Program EEC. Each participant must be able to: Work effectively as a member of a team, despite potentially stressful and difficult conditions. Expedition living is in close quarters with limited personal time. There can be a lack of, or variable, daily routines which will likely change day-to-day. Expedition living may require problem solving in a group setting, as well as a willingness to accept differences. Contribute to a safe learning environment. No verbal or physical inappropriate behavior towards others is tolerated for any reason. Willingly and equally share responsibility with tent/cabin mates in daily group chores. Chores may be split differently each day, but all participants will complete a proportionate share. All participants are learning the skills and being challenged by the conditions and activities. There can be no expectation that any other participant will be able to continually assume a greater share of the work or that an instructor can continually focus a greater share of their energy and time on one student. Effectively communicate ideas and concerns on an individual and group level. Please contact customer care if you are unsure whether or not you meet the criteria, or if you need a reasonable accommodation.

Registration: A minimum of 28 registered participants are required to hold this event. In the event that the minimum is not met, you will be notified before the event date, and a full refund will be processed.

Media Release Disclaimer: There may be photos or video taken during this event. By registering for this event, you give permission for GSHCC and GSHCC program partners to use photos/videos of your girl to promote Girl Scouts. If you would like to opt out of photographs/videos, please notify staff at event check-in.
 

Information Letter: Once you have registered you can find the information letter at least 2 weeks before the event date, by logging in to your My Account, go to My Events and select the event. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the information letter under Additional Documentation. An email will be sent out 1 week before the scheduled event with the information letter for the event. If you register after this time, you will need to go through your My Account to get the information letter or reach out to customer care.

Troop Treasure: After registering, please follow the instructions on this form to request to pay with Troop Treasure.

Financial Aid: Financial assistance is available to girls/adults that have current memberships with Girl Scouts Heart of Central California. Payee must submit the Financial Aid Request form after registering to finalize your request. Requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the event date. You may still be responsible for a portion of the fees.

Cancellations:

  • If the activity requires a deposit, deposits are non-refundable.
  • Refunds will not be given for in-person activities or training fees of $5 and less.
  • All other activities will be processed as follows:
    • 21 calendar days before the activity - 100%
    • 12-20 calendar days before the activity - 50%
    • 11 or fewer calendar days before the activity - No refunds

Once in a while, GSHCC may have to cancel an event. If Girl Scouts Heart of Central California finds it necessary to cancel an activity or training, all troops/groups or individuals having submitted registrations and payments will receive a full refund.
Note: In the event of extenuating circumstances such as illnesses, deaths in the immediate family, and other catastrophic events, GSHCC will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis.
All refund requests should be submitted in writing to Customer Care.
