This training empowers volunteers to bring high-quality outdoor experiences to more Girl Scouts through service unit events and large-scale community gatherings. During the session, you'll learn practical strategies for planning, organizing, and delivering outdoor programs that are engaging, safe, and developmentally appropriate for girls of all ages.
Throughout the training, you'll build your own confidence as an outdoor facilitator while strengthening your ability to inspire girls to step outside their comfort zones, try new challenges, and grow as resilient, courageous leaders.
Whether you're looking to enhance your service unit's current offerings or bring new outdoor opportunities to your community, this training provides the tools, support, and inspiration you need. It's a meaningful chance to expand your impact - on your service unit, your community, and your own journey as an outdoor leader.

To prepare: Install Zoom: It is not necessary to have your own Zoom account, but we DO recommend installing the Zoom Client App. This can be done ahead of time at this link: https://zoom.us/download. We do not recommend choosing "join from browser" as the quality is often lower. Make sure your internet is strong: For best quality, turn off other devices that are using your internet connection. The closer you are to your modem, the stronger the connection will be. Set up your space: Have all the supplies ready to go and near where you will be viewing the webinar. Join early! Join the class up to 5 minutes before the start time to say hi to the instructor and chat with other participants if you wish. This also allows time to work through any technical difficulties. Enjoy the class! Please be sure to be muted and class will start promptly at the scheduled time.
